or chilling die-downs. Our vent-free gas logs warm your room quickly and efficiently, while using about half the energy of a traditional vented gas log.Toss the Matches, Grab the Remote Control Take charge of your new vent-free variable log set with White Mountain Hearth’s standard, two-button remote control. Adjust the flame height from a low glow to a roaring fire, or any comfort level in between. Our millivolt log set models offer the option of using a thermostat, a remote control, or our combination thermostat/remote. Even our manually controlled log sets offer three heat levels, so you can keep the cold winds at bay without overheating the room. Artfully Applied For people who have grown tired of hauling in logs, hauling out ash, and living with uneven heating, White Mountain Hearth logs are the perfect  replacement in a traditional fireplace. White Mountain Hearth vented/ventfree burners do not require a flue. Originally designed for use in vent-free fireplaces, these logs work equally well in traditional flue-vented applications. They can be ordered for use with natural gas or LP.Slope Glaze Burner System All White Mountain Hearth Log Sets fit the Slope Glaze Burners manufactured by Empire Comfort Systems. Special Ceramic Bead materials within the precisely ported burner swirl the flowing gas to produce naturally flickering flames. Vent-free burners come in LP and Natural Gas, in 18-inch, 24-inch, and 30-inch. A special 16-inch burner fits the 16-inch Charred Oak Log Set.  Our Vent-Free Burners are available with a Thermostat Remote, Millivolt controls, or manual controls. All come with piezo ignition and standing pilot. The Thermostat Remote automatically turns the burner off and on and varies the flame height to maintain a comfortable room temperature. Millivolt systems work with our standard on-off remote control, and with our wall thermostats. Manual-control burners operate with a simple on/off switch concealed in a log within the hearth or wired to a wall switch. All vent-free burners include an Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) to instantly shut off the system if oxygen in the room drops to unsafe levels. Empire Comfort Systems also manufactures Vented Burners (without ODS) for use only with an open damper flue. Vented burners are available in 18-inch, 24-inch, and 30-inch with millivolt or manual controls.
